Kvėpavimo pagrindai
Kvėpavimo sistemos (respiratorinė) sveikata yra gyvybiškai svarbi vaikams ir suaugusiems, sergantiems nervų-raumenų ligomis. Šios ligos palaipsniui silpnina raumenis, tame tarpe ir tuos, kurie būtini kvėpuojant ir atsikosint. Dėl nusilpusių kvėpavimo raumenų gali išsivystyti kvėpavimo nepakankamumas, kuris kartu su infekcija (pneumonija), yra dažniausia nervų-raumenų ligonių mirties priežastis. Nors sergant skirtingomis nervų-raumenų ligomis, šios (respiratorinės) problemos pasireiškia skirtingu laiku (atitinkamai ligos stadijai), tačiau kvėpavimo funkcimvbns sekimas ir priežiūra beveik nesiskiria.
Brošiūra- vadovas, orientuota į sergančiuosius spinaline raumenų atrofija, tačiau ji taip pat visiškai tinka ir kitiems nervų-raumenų ligoniams kaip respiratorinės priežiūros vadovas.
